Dell Streak Flashing

A co worker got a shiny new Dell Streak this week. I think it’s a great piece of hardware and found it to be fast although limited by Dell and ATT. It ships with an older version of the Android OS, 1.6. In her quest to pwn the hardware she got it rooted using Universal Androot. Having rooted it she was lost on how to proceed so stopped by my desk with it. We pulled up Streak Smart and followed the guide there. The process was a bit wonky due to naming the correct files but nothing we didn’t work through. After a few downloads and a couple of flashes she has 2.1 running on the gear. Kudos to Streak Smart for a great guide and MoDaCo for the images.
