Top 5 Favorite Movies of the Year, That I Saw With No Spoilers

December 13, 2010 1 comment

I watch a lot of movies typically. This is a list of movies you need to see if you even think you like movies. In no particular order:

1. Valhalla Rising. Absolutely beautiful. Raw minimalist film with deep religious undertones.

2. Inception. After this Nolan can do no wrong. Technically superb thriller that’s well constructed from start to finish. I hope it isn’t spoiled for you if you’ve not seen it.

3. House of the Devil. Proof that modern horror films have hope beyond torture porn and special effects. It’s a slow burn that goes to 11.

4. Collapse. A documentary on peak oil. Look past the conspiracy or don’t, but you can’t fail to hear the powerful message on the importance of local living.

5. Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Love letter to gamers. Perfect effects. Awesome soundtrack. Hipster love story.

#FF on Twitter Made Easy, So Easy a Caveman…

April 23, 2010 Leave a comment

Over at Twitter there is a great community of people who follow the primal and paleo way. Some are funny (may be NSFW 🙂 ) and some are serious. All are great resources and sources of knowledge.

Twitter is a modern day digital campfire for our tribe and I am thankful for the people that let me into their timeline and read this wreck. To make it easier to see who runs with what tribe the folks over at WeFollow have made is simple to see all the folks who follow certain tags. There is already a #primal list full of great people. Click on over and add yourself, if you aren’t on Twitter don’t sweat it but keep in mind all neolithic stuff isn’t evil.

I’m a huge fan of Digg.com and in this episode of Diggnation they mention Food Inc.
